The Montezuma County Democrats Central Committee will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Calvin Denton Room at Empire Electric. The Cortez High Desert Community Theater will present the smash musical CHICAGO at the Mancos Opera House. Performances will be held July 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th and 18th at 7:30 PM and July 12th and 19th at 2:00 PM. This show is rated PG-13 and is not recommended for children 12 and under. Bill Anderson at the Cortez Public Library
Please join the staff at the Cortez Public Library when they welcome performer Bill Anderson for the last family entertainment program of the summer. Bill's show, Buggy About Books! will be held on Thursday, July 10th, at 2 p.m. at the library located at 202 N. Park St.

Children will see that just like a caterpillar is transformed into a beautiful butterfly, a book can also transform them. You'll have great fun along the way as some amazing things happen with magic, puppets, balloons and storytelling. This show will have you laughing uncontrollably!

Zetrock Music Fest
The 2nd Annual Zetrock Music Festival happens Saturday, July 12th at the City Park in Cortez. This year's lineup includes the Patrick Sweaney Trio, Dave Insley, the Lindells, the Porchlights and Zachary Baker. The event starts at noon and goes until 10pm.
