Ute Mountain Roundup Rodeo Library Days
The Ute Mountain Roundup Rodeo will be presenting Rodeo and Cowboy Days on Wednesday May 29th at the Dolores Library and Thursday May 30th at the Cortez Library, starting at 10:00 a.m. There will be stories, crafts, and an opportunity for the kids to have their picture taken on a manikin horse or to try their roping skills. Montelores Outdoor Wild Learning Teacher Workshop
The Montelores Outdoor Wild Learning Teacher Workshop will be held June 18th through the 21st. Preschool through 12th grade educators are invited to this 4-day workshop focusing on using the outdoors as a lab for any subject. Participants receive access to field equipment and transportation funding. Two units of graduate credit are available. Ute Artifacts On Display
The public has until Sunday, June 2nd to view 12 Ute artifacts dating from the late 1800s at the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum in Ignacio. You can donate new and gently used childrens books for the Colorado Reads book drive from now until May 22nd. Books will be distributed to local children, to encourage summer reading.
