Great Blue Heron Rookery
To view the Great Blue Heron rookery (nesting area) located southwest of Mancos, turn south on Main Street in Mancos and proceed south to the intersection of Main Street and Road J. Turn right (west) approximately one mile. The rookery is in the high cottonwood trees to the north of Road J near the Mancos River and just south of Western Excelsior.
