Tuesday, July 19th

Southwest Open School in Cortez has been approved by the state for a Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST) grant to improve their campus. Join us for the Tuesday morning Zine at 8:30 as we discuss the bond issue that is required to fund the grant and what it could mean for the school's facilities.

Wednesday, July 20th

The Bridge Emergency Shelter is hosting "A Night Out For The Bridge" this Friday evening, when many local restaurants will be donating a portion of their proceeds to support the mission of the homeless shelter. Tune in to the Wednesday morning Zine at 8:30 as we talk about what restaurants are participating and how you can get involved in this dinner event.

Thursday, July 21st

Issues with drinking water safety, from treatment with chloramines to lead exposure, are a concern for many residents in Montezuma and Dolores counties. Join us for another edition of Pandora's Box on the Thursday morning Zine at 8:30 for continuing coverage of drinking water safety and municipal water systems.

Friday, July 22nd

The establishment of National Parks in the Adirondacks, Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon deeply affected the rural and indigenous communities that used these vast areas for foraging, hunting, fishing, and gathering other natural resources. Tune in to the Friday morning Zine at 8:30 as we talk with a researcher and author who has revealed some of the hidden histories behind the creation of our nation's parklands.
