Sunday, November 20th

The Fall 2011 season of Radiolab continues on Sundries at 9am this Sunday morning. In a cruel trick of evolution, humans can stand just three feet from a ferocious animal and still be perfectly safe. In this episode, Radiolab goes to the zoo to ask: what's with our need to get close to "wildness"? They examine where we stand in this paradox, starting with the Romans, and ending in the wilds of Belize...staring into the eyes of a wild jaguar.

Monday, November 21st

Federal land managers have issued a supplemental environmental impact statement for oil and gas development in the Gothic Shale formation which covers much of southwestern Colorado. Join us for the Monday morning Zine at 8:30 as we talk about how this proposed development could impact the environment and how you can provide feedback to federal agencies on this important issue.

Tuesday, November 22nd

Parents face many tough choices these days in trying to keep their kids away from toxins present in manufactured items. Tune in to the Tuesday morning Zine at 8:30 for another edition of Pandora's Box and a discussion of what toxins kids may be exposed to and how parents can minimize the risks of contact with these contaminants.

Military honor guards in the United States provide funeral honors for fallen comrades and serve as the "guardians of the colors" by displaying and escorting the national flag on ceremonial occasions.
