Saturday, December 17th

Join us for Mountain Stage on KSJD at 1pm Saturday afternoon for a line-up of live musical performances. This week's guests include The Nighthawks, Sarah Siskind, Chandler Travis Three-O, The Milk Carton Kids, and Lucy Wainwright Roche.

Sunday, December 18th

This week on Sundries is Naughty & Nice: A History of the Holiday Season. Sunday morning at 9am, The American History Guys from BackStory take on the fascinating history of the "holiday season" in America. Beginning with contemporary debates over the proper role of religion in the public square, the History Guys move backwards in time, searching for the roots of the holidays we celebrate today.

Monday, December 19th

Many local businesses have made energy conservation a priority in order to keep costs down and exemplify good energy saving practices. Join us for the Monday morning Zine at 8:30 as we talk with Empire Electric about their Green Business Award that goes to the leaders in energy conservation among business owners.

Tuesday, December 20th

The Mancos School To Farm Program helps kids understand where their food comes from and encourages healthy eating choices. Tune in to the Tuesday morning Zine at 8:30 for another episode of Pandora's Box and a discussion with the School To Farm program leader and a student who has participated in the school garden.

Wednesday, December 21st

Many people have weighed in on the defeat of the bond issue during the last election that would have funded new facilities at the Southwest Open School, but what do SWOS students think about the current state of education and education funding? Join us for the Wednesday morning Zine at 8:30 and an interview with SWOS students on education and community support.
