Saturday, August 18th

Sunday, August 19th

This week on Sundries at 9am Sunday morning, it's the 2012 season of The Moth: true stories told before a live audience. In this week's episode, a family of amateur detectives crack a case; a librarian takes a dance class to spice things up; a father and son come to terms in Newark Airport; and a woman releases her grief and lets her passion take over.

Monday, August 20th

It's race day! Tune in to KSJD all day long for coverage of Stage 1 of the USA Pro Challenge road cycling race from Durango to Telluride. We start our coverage on the Monday morning Zine at 8:30 with a primer on what to look for as the race winds its way through Mancos, Dolores, and Rico, and a preview of what racers to watch. We will also bring you live updates on Stage 1 throughout the day.

Tuesday, August 21st

School is starting at our area schools and KSJD has been talking to teachers over the summer and getting their perspective on teaching and academic success. Join us for the Tuesday morning Zine as we hear from local teachers and what they value about education, students, and making a difference in the work they do.

Wednesday, August 22nd

Over the next two years, the City of Cortez will be asking what you value most about the city as part of their Heart and Soul grant. Tune in to the Wednesday morning Zine at 8:30 to learn about how you can participate, and what the mission and goals of the project are.

Thursday, August 23rd

The Mesa Verde Wine, Food, and Art Festival brings together a dynamic grouping that features many local tastes. Join us for the Thursday morning Zine at 8:30 to ind out what the festival has in store this year and how it benefits local producers and artists.
