Introducing Community Radio Project's New Executive Director

Courtesy of Wynn Jones

At the end of May, the Community Radio Project Board of Directors chose Wynn Jones to be the next Executive Director of KSJD and the Sunflower Theatre. In the 1980s and 1990s, Jones worked at several community radio stations throughout the Four Corners before moving to Traverse City, MI for about 15 years.

She will now return to Cortez to begin work at CRP at the end of June. She joined Austin Cope, KSJD's outgoing Morning Edition Host, on Tuesday morning to talk more about her background and about her plans for the future. Click below to listen.

Austin Cope is a former Morning Edition host for KSJD and now produces work on a freelance basis for the station. He grew up in Cortez and hosted a show on KSJD when he was 10 years old. After graduating from Montezuma-Cortez High School in 2010, he lived in Belgium, Ohio, Spain, northern Wyoming, and Himachal Pradesh, India before returning to the Cortez area. He has a degree in Politics from Oberlin College in Ohio.
