New BLM District Manager to Host Meetings in Dolores, Durango

The Bureau of Land Management Colorado’s new Southwest District manager will make stops in the Four Corners during an open house tour. 

Stephanie Connolly took over as district manager near the end of May and replaced Joe Meyer, who retired in 2017. Connolly previously worked as district manager for over nine years in Wyoming. Her background also includes various positions with the U.S. Forest Service while in Utah and Nevada.

As an initiative to engage with her new community, four open houses were set for the public to meet Connolly. Two of the meetings will be held in the southwest corner of Colorado.

 

July 12: 8-10 a.m. at the BLM Tres Rios Field Office in Durango.

 

July 12: Noon-2 p.m. at the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum in Dolores.

 

BLM also announced two other dates in Grand Junction and Montrose.

 

July 16: 11 a.m.-1 p.m., BLM Grand Junction Field Office in Grand Junction.

 

July 19: 8-10 a.m., Montrose Public Lands Center in Montrose.
