In southwest Colorado, we are always on the verge of a drought. To help mitigate the effects of dry periods in the future, the the Dolores Project Drought Contingency Plan has been developed, and will be discussed at a public meeting on July 17, at 7 p.m. at the Dolores Water Conservancy District offices, in Cortez.
