The Cult Movie Federation of Mancos will host their next Cult Movie Night at the Mancos Opera House on Thursday, April 18th. Doors will open at 6pm, with a 2004 Wes Anderson Movie starring Bill Murray, starting at 7. Tickets can be purchased by cash or check at the Mancos Library, or at the door. The film is rated R.

Each Friday through April 19th, the Beech Street Indoor Skatepark at 30 N. Beech St. in Cortez will host a youth art workshop series from 10am to noon. Materials, snacks, and instruction will be provided. Any youth in the community are welcome to attend. If you need transportation, email Ellis at emcnichol@pinonproject.org. This will be followed by an all youth art show on Thursday, April 25th.

The monthly meeting of the Cortez Silent Book Club takes place at ZU (zoo) Gallery in Cortez on Friday, April 19th at 5:30pm. An opportunity to be as social as you like or not social at all - whatever suits your comfort level. Connect with other readers, add to your long list of to-be-read books, and/or exchange books you’ve read. The Sunflower Theatre presents the film "Love Lies Bleeding" on Friday, April 19th. The film is about reclusive gym manager Lou who falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder. The San Juan Coffee Company will host a family-friendly karaoke, lip-sync, and boba (bo-buh) party every other Saturday through June 29th. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
High Desert DEVO presents MountainFilm On Tour at the Sunflower Theatre on Saturday, April 20th. Mountainfilm On Tour features inspiring short films that celebrate outdoor adventure, activism, social justice, and the environment. Screenings will be at 3:00pm and 6:00pm.
