A voluntary recall has been issued for retail marijuana products from cannabis grower Bonsai Cultivation. The Denver Department of Public Health and Environment announced the statewide recall after finding “potentially unsafe levels of yeast/mold” in samples of dried marijuana.
Affected products may include flower, trim, shake and pre-rolls from Bonsai sold between April 30 and Oct. 14. Products with OPC code 403R-00228 are part of the recall.
The department has identified 144 retail stores throughout the state that have sold Bonsai’s products during that time, including several in southwest Colorado.
Consumers are asked to dispose of their recalled product or return it to the retailer where it was purchased. Questions to Bonsai Cultivation can be directed to voluntaryrecall@bonsaicultivation.com.
Any concerns about your health after using a recalled product should be directed to your physician and by contacting the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment at phicomments@denvergov.org or 720-913-1311.
