Montezuma County Undecided Over Broadband Sales Tax

Montezuma County residents are about evenly split on support for a 1 percent sales tax to extend high-speed internet countywide. That was a key finding of a telephone survey of 300 residents conducted by Discovery Research Group over two weeks in June. The county commissioners had asked for the survey to help them decide whether to put a sales-tax question on the November ballot. One hundred fifty-four of the respondents said they would be for a sales tax, while the remainder said no.
