The state of Utah is putting more land on the auction block.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports the School and Institutional Trust Land Administration, or SITLA, is selling a 640-acre parcel just outside Canyonlands National Park. The tract is home to the Needles Outpost, a modest store and campground that for years has been operated by a local couple under a lease. But disagreements over the lease and criminal complaints against the couple resulted in their eviction in 2015 and prompted the sale. Bidding reportedly starts at a little more than $1 million for the scenic and strategically located tract, which also adjoins the new Bears Ears National Monument. It will be sold along with three other parcels at the next SITLA auction May 24th.
