The Denver Post reports that Denver is one of three finalists for hosting the Outdoor Retailer trade show. The other two cities were not named.
The twice-annual expo drew tens of thousands of visitors and produced about $45 million a year for its previous host, Salt Lake City. However, the show’s owner, Emerald Expositions, announced earlier this year that it would move the trade show after 2018 because of disagreements between the outdoor industry and Utah’s political leaders, who are almost unanimous in calling for the rescinding of the new Bears Ears National Monument.
