Deadline for Durango Public Art Comment Period Draws Near

Commuters, travelers, and residents of Durango can give feedback about public art on the west side of town until this Friday, March 23rd. The city began an online pollat the end of January to decide between three ideas for art at the intersection of Highways 160 and 550. Those include sets of metal sculptures depicting the Animas River, wild animals, or silhouettes of pictures to be drawn by local students and artists. The art is planned to adorn the long medians along the highway. That’s a different location than the previous “Arc of History” sculpture. A link to the poll can be found on the KSJD website.
