The federal government is releasing water from reservoirs in Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico in an emergency attempt to prop up the nation’s second largest reservoir -- Lake Powell.
The National Multi-Agency Coordinating Group, or NMAC, increased the national fire preparedness rating to the highest level on Thursday.
