Colorado State University Ag Extension Regional Director Discusses Path Forward for Montezuma County

Austin Cope

In October, the Montezuma County Commissioners voted to defund the Colorado State University Agricultural Extension office. Information later emerged that this vote was  “Fake news,” and a negotiation tactic to address some of the commissioners’ problems with how the extension has been run. Many of those problems have not been in the public eye, but to get some background on what’s going on with extension management in general, KSJD's Austin Cope spoke with C.J. Mucklow, the director of CSU’s regional extension office. That office manages the Ag extension program, which is partially funded by Montezuma County.

He has a degree in Politics from Oberlin College in Ohio.
