The start of boating season is approaching, and with that come renewed concerns about invasive mussels. Montezuma County Public Lands Coordinator James Dietrich told the county commissioners on Monday that a number of illegal launch sites have been discovered recently at area reservoirs, including Pruitt and Summit, as well as near the Dolores Cemetery and Big Bend on Lake McPhee. A public meeting about the McPhee boating season has been scheduled for 7 p.m. April 11th at the Destination Grill in Cortez.
