Tuesday was election day in Cortez. The question posed to voters was whether to approve an exemption from a Colorado state senate bill that prevented local governments from providing internet infrastructure or working with private companies to provide it to their communities. Voters responded with strong support for the ballot measure, with more than three quarters of respondents voting yes.
