Montezuma County 2020 Primary Election Results: County Commission

KSJD is following results on the race for two seats on the Montezuma County Commission. 

Visit our other results page to follow races in the U.S. House and Senate, including Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District. The primary race for State House District 58 is uncontested for both incumbent Republican Marc Catlin and Democratic challenger Seth Cagin.

No Democrats are running for the two seats on the Montezuma County Commission, but unaffiliated candidates can still run on the November ballot by submitting a qualifying petition by July 9.

District 2 - Cortez Area

Republicans Danny Wilkin and Kent Lindsay are competing to replace Commissioner Keenan Ertel, who is term-limited.

Unofficial results Tuesday night placed Lindsay with about 56% of the vote, a 12-point lead over Wilkin. 

District 3 - Mancos Area

Republicans Monty Guiles and Joel Stevenson are competing to replace Commissioner Larry Don Suckla, who is term-limited.

Unofficial results Tuesday night placed Stevenson with about 53.5% of the vote, a 7-point lead over Guiles.
