about the aftermath of Hurricane Fran in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. Rains from the storm caused the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers to overflow their banks and flood the town. Harper's Ferry has a rich history, and today is home to several museums and historic buildings. But before the floods, National Park Service employees took the preemptive step of removing and preserving thousands of artifacts from the town's museums.
