CO-3 candidate Alex Walker

KSJD News is continuing to air interviews with each candidate running to represent Colorado’s Third District in Congress. Today, we’re hearing from Alex Walker.

Walker grew up in Littleton and in Eagle County. He studied mechanical engineering at Stanford University. He worked as an engineer and in the tech industry for eight years and helped build Thumbtack, one of the largest marketplaces for local services in the US.

His entry into the CO-3 race made a splash with a launch video that got seven hundred thousand views and followed up with TikTok clips that have been seen by a half million people. A self-described politically moderate, queer, “engineering nerd,” the Democrat also says he would work towards sensible nonpartisan solutions.

For Rocky Mountain Community Radio, KVNF’s Kate Redmond sat down with Walker to hear more.
