2022 midterm election results for Colorado and the Four Corners

KSJD is tracking live results for the 2022 midterm election. As more results become available, this article will be updated. Updated at 2:56 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

Yesterday – Tuesday, November 8 – was Election Day in Cortez. In addition to the statewide gubernatorial election, U.S. House and Senate races and ballot initiatives, KSJD will be following several local elections in the Four Corners region.

Montezuma County Sheriff

Republican Steve Nowlin is running against Odis Sikes, who is unaffiliated.

  • Steve Nowlin - 8,663 votes
  • Odis Sikes - 2,961 votes

Montezuma County Commissioner - District 1

Republican James "Jim" Candelaria is uncontested in the general election.

Montezuma County Clerk and Recorder

Republican Kim Percell is uncontested in the general election.

Montezuma County Surveyor

Rita Caffey, who is unaffiliated, is uncontested in the general election.

Dolores County Sheriff

Republican Michael Steele is running against Don Wilson, who is unaffiliated.

Dolores County Legislature / Executive Board

Republican Julie Kibel is running against Linda Yellowman, who is unaffiliated.
