Montezuma County Clerk and Recorder Kim Percell and her Elections team, including Diana Smith and Danielle Wells, presented election-related information at the Sunflower Theatre on Saturday, June 1st, ahead of Colorado's primary elections on June 25th. KSJD aired the event live in its entirety.

Kim reviewed the basics of registration and important upcoming election deadlines before handing the floor over to Election Supervisor Danielle Wells, who addressed election security. Danielle explained how voting machines are received and checked for issues prior to election day, how dropboxes are monitored, and the importance of systemic tests and preparations made by the team leading up to vote tabulation. Election Deputy Diana Smith discussed options for how people can get involved in various roles, including as election judges and monitors.
