A Front Range refugee who landed in Mancos in mid-2019, DJ Stretch believes he was born in the perfect year--so he would be nine years old when The Beatles invaded America. As a kid, he listened to tunes on his transistor radio, locked on Boston's WRKO. He bought his first 45 RPM ("I Can't Control Myself," by The Troggs) in eighth grade. He hung out at his college radio station and later devoted much of his spare time to taking in the punk scenes of Boston, New York, and Los Angeles. Today, Stretch also plays bass for the Four Corners band, Flashback.
