SEEKING BOARD MEMBERS!

Are you an avid listener and supporter of KSJD community radio?

Do you love the Sunflower Theater and all the cultural experiences it brings to our community?

Do you have experience with governing at the non-profit level, or other experience that might help our non-profit organization?

The Community Radio Project, which oversees both KSJD and the Sunflower Theatre, is looking for people like you to join its board of directors to help guide the future of these cherished resources. This is a dynamic time of growth and change and an exciting opportunity to contribute!

We are working to expand to build a diverse board with representation from all sectors of our community, and we would love to hear from you if you would like to be considered as a Community Radio Project board candidate.

Board Member Expectations:

• Have a strong interest in community radio, arts, and culture.
• Support Community Radio Project financially by making an annual contribution of at least $35.
• Participate in fundraising efforts.
• Work up to six hours per month on Community Radio Project projects, business, or events (not including monthly board meetings).
• Be an active member of at least one board committee.
• Be prepared for and actively participate in board meetings.
• Respond to board email communications within 48 hours.
• Miss no more than two consecutive or three non-consecutive meetings per year.
• Encourage diversity on the board. Promote and support new board members.
• In the event of leaving the board prior to the end of one’s term, the board member is expected to provide reasonable notice of departure and to complete or hand off any current responsibilities.
