In conjunction with the Montezuma County Hospital District, Southwest Health System will host a public forum to address financial issues.
The forum will be held at 5 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Cortez City Hall. Those who can’t attend can stream the meeting live at the city’s website where it will also be archived.
Recent months at SHS brought shake-ups in administrators and staff, drawing public concern on the organization’s future in Cortez.
The Journal reported Monday that interim Chief Financial Officer Sam Radke left last week after two months in the position. Additionally, board member Scott Steeves plans to resign in December.
SHS laid off 40 employees in August, a cut comprising nearly 10 percent of the staff at one of Montezuma County’s largest employers. The organization’s previous CFO and three other executives were terminated in April.
