Colorado Lawmakers Hope To Arrange Land Swap to Build Fire Station Along West Fork of Dolores

Colorado Senators Michael Bennet and Cory Gardner, along with Representative Scott Tipton, have introduced bipartisan legislation to facilitate the construction of a fire station along the West Fork of the Dolores River. The legislation would convey some four acres of Forest Service land to Dolores County. An anonymous donor connected with Dunton Hot Springs is reportedly contributing $100,000 to build the station.
