Health & Prevention Report: Southwest Health's Infection Control Director On The Delta COVID Variant

Marc Meyer is the director of infection control at Southwest Health System.

The delta variant is a highly contagious form of COVID-19 that emerged in India, and the first reported case in Colorado was in Mesa County, a few weeks ago. It has since spread to at least 17 counties across the state, and this week, La Plata county reported their first case. Now, healthcare professionals in Montezuma County are concerned about an increase in hospitalizations across the region. On this week’s Health and Prevention Report, KSJD’s Lucas Brady Woods talks with Marc Meyer, the director of infection control at Southwest Health System, about what the delta variant means locally.
