Jon Lynch

Jon is the newest member of the KSJD staff and a recent transplant to Montezuma County after 25 years in La Plata County. His formative years were steeped in Left of the Dial terrestrial radio and adjacent subcultures. He solidified a relationship with non-commercial radio - in the college realm - at KJHK, in Lawrence, KS, as an undergraduate at KU.

Upon finishing, he moved to La Plata County (for what, he was certain, would be a "short stint" in the Southwest) and began volunteering at KDUR in Durango. A couple of years in, he joined the staff as Music Director in the early/mid aughts, eventually becoming Program Director in 2012.

When not radio-ing, Jon can be found exploring the region on foot and bumbling about on both skateboards and mountain bikes. If/when winter returns, he'll surely try to shirk responsibility for snowboarding again. He currently detests unpacking boxes and re-shelving records - which he sincerely hopes to never move again, henceforth. He likes dogs, loves cats, and is thrilled to be a part of KSJD.
