Looking for something to do this weekend? Start your Friday evening at Mancos Brewing Company with local band Horizon kicking things off at 5pm for their First Friday series. Later, head to the Sunflower Theatre for a 7pm screening of Secret Mall Apartment, a documentary about eight people who secretly lived in an apartment inside a shopping mall. On Saturday, visit the Turquoise Raven Art Gallery in Cortez for a month-long exhibition by artist Dai Salwen. On Sunday, join Four Corners Food Not Bombs at noon at 30 North Beech Street for food, community, and resources. Then, catch the Mancos Valley Chorus performing On the Road Again at 3pm at Mancos United Methodist Church. Finish your weekend with Snowy Plovers playing Americana tunes at Mancos Brewing from 5 to 7pm. Find all these events and more at KSJD.org or in the KSJD Public Radio app.

LP recently moved to the Four Corners from Austin, Texas, where they worked as a Case Manager for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and in HOA property management where they were fortunate to learn many different styles of communication and creative thinking/problem solving. In their time away from work, they watch a ton of movies (spanning all decades, nationalities, and genres), and tries to listen to one really good album every day.
