Good morning!
I’m Lacy McKay.
Here’s your weekend heads-up from the KSJD Community Calendar!
This Friday, July 4th, you’ll find plenty of live music around the region. The Burnsville Band brings their hard-hitting blues to Mancos Brewing Company starting at 5:30 p.m. El Rio Cantina in Mancos will also feature local bands Midnight Cowboy and Flashback, kicking off at the same time. Over in Dolores, Cruz Contreras and The Black Lillies take the stage at Dolores River Brewery at 8 p.m.
KSJD will air a special Independence Day music program from 8 to 10 p.m., perfect to enjoy alongside local fireworks displays—check your city’s website for details on those.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the Cortez Farmers Market will take place Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to noon at its new location at Empire and Mildred, offering local produce, food, crafts, and music.
On Sunday, Four Corners Food Not Bombs will gather for a community meal and mutual aid at noon at 30 North Beech Street in Cortez. Fenceline Cider hosts their monthly open mic from 4 to 7 p.m., and Mancos Brewing Company wraps up the weekend with the Stillhouse Junkies’ album release show at 5:30 p.m.

That’s the KSJD Outdoor Report for today.
Have a fun and safe independence day weekend.
