Sullivan got his start in radio at KTEC community radio in Klamath Falls Oregon. Upon arriving in Cortez in 2018, a quick visit to KSJD ensured his place as a volunteer DJ. Sullivan loves story songs and with that, folk, alt-country, Celtic and Americana tunes, but his entire palette of musical tastes is certainly quite broad. Odd instruments such as the hurdy-gurdy and the oud are wonderful! Play on, play on!

Before co-hosting The Dark Canyon Chronicles, Stephen hosted a paranormal radio show in the Seattle area called The Other Side Chronicles. His fascination with the unexplained began while roaming the haunted hollers of the Ozark Mountains in southern Missourah or Missouri, as the northerners call it. There, old folk tales weren’t just stories told to scare children but as he grew older, Stephen began to discover that many of those yarns were rooted in real events, and in time, he found himself experiencing some of them firsthand.

James Dawson joined Boise State Public Radio as the organization's News Director in 2017. He oversees the station's award-winning news department. Most recently, he covered state politics and government for Delaware Public Media since the station first began broadcasting in 2012 as the country's newest NPR affiliate. Those reports spanned two governors, three sessions of the Delaware General Assembly, and three consequential elections. His work has been featured on All Things Considered and NPR's newscast division. An Idaho native from north of the time zone bridge, James previously served as the public affairs reporter and interim news director for the commercial radio network Inland Northwest Broadcasting. His reporting experience included state and local government, arts and culture, crime, and agriculture. He's a proud University of Idaho graduate with a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Digital Media. When he's not in the office, you can find James fly fishing, buffing up on his photography or watching the Seattle Mariners' latest rebuilding season.

Shawn Johnson covers the State Capitol for Wisconsin Public Radio. Shawn joined the network in 2004. Prior to that he worked for WUIS-FM, a public radio station in Springfield, Illinois. There, Shawn reported on the Illinois legislature. He also managed the station's western Illinois bureau, where he produced features on issues facing rural residents. He previously worked as an Assistant Producer for WBBM-AM radio in Chicago.

Jim McLean is an editor and reporter for KCUR 89.3. He is the managing director of KCUR's Kansas News Service, a collaboration between KCUR and other public media stations across Kansas.
