KSJD Community Radio and KSUT Public Radio in Ignacio are embarking on a new collaboration funded by the Colorado Media Project. It's called Voices from the Edge of the Colorado Plateau, and it's goal is to create more coverage of underrepresented communities in the Four Corners.

On a recent warm winter day, KSJD news director Lucas Brady Woods sat down for a cider with Wynn Jones, KSJD's executive director, and Tami Graham, KSUT's executive director, to discuss the project and why it's important for communities in the region.

Originally from Southern California, Lucas spent the last decade living in New York City, which is where he started his journalism career. He's been an audio journalism junkie for as long as he can remember, but really fell in love with reporting radio news at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where he received his master's degree.
