A regional producer responds to new federal government policy on US uranium reserves

Energy Fuels Resources runs the White Mesa Uranium Mill in Southeast Utah.

The U.S. Department of Energy is building up the country's strategic uranium reserve. That’s meant to provide a reliable supply of the material for energy and defense. It also might mean increased production for regional uranium mines and mills, which comes with concerns about its impacts.

To find out what the policy means for business, Rocky Mountain Community Radio's Justin Higginbottom spoke with Curtis Moore, a vice president at Energy Fuels Resources, a uranium producer here in the Four Corners.
