The Animas River shortly after the Gold King Mine waste spill.

The Gold King Mine waste spill into the Animas River in early August deposited several different types of toxic metals and other pollutants into the waterway. Pandora's Box host Lyn Patrick talks with Marcie Bidwell, Executive Director of the Mountain Studies Institute, about how the Animas River chemistry was changed after the spill, and what we might expect for water quality in the future.
