In this episode of KSJD's monthly Veteran's Affairs program, KSJD's Tom Yoder talks with Rick Torres, Montezuma County Veterans Service Officer, and Bert Valencia from the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5231 about issues that will be covered at a Veterans Forum on June 14th in Cortez, Colorado. Topics include why it is important for veterans to sign up for benefits as soon as possible, and why families of vets should also understand how VA and other benefit programs work.
