Gov. Jared Polis is ramping up Colorado’s response to the new coronavirus as the number of cases continues to grow, especially in mountain communities. Officials have now reported 44 presumptive cases of COVID-19 in the state after testing more than 300 people.

Scott Franz, KSJD’s state Capitol reporter, has been following the state’s response to the spread of the new virus. He spoke with KSJD’s Daniel Rayzel on the latest, including the governor’s consideration of banning large gatherings and if the state legislature will go on recess.
