Southwest Health System Speaks Out Against Statewide Healthcare

The board of Southwest Health System, which manages Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, has unanimously passed a resolution opposing Amendment 69.

The proposed amendment would create a statewide system of universal health care, but the SHS board calls it unaffordable and risky. Meanwhile, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders is reportedly coming to Boulder’s University of Colorado on Monday to host a rally in support of the amendment.
