A bridge closure scheduled for Sunday, October 30 through Monday, November 7th will only affect a one-mile section on the westernmost end of Highway 184 near the intersection to Highway 491, according to Colorado Department of Transportation spokesperson Lisa Schwantes. Crews will be replacing a bridge over Narraguinnep Canal for that week.
Schwantes said the rest of the highway will be fully open. Residents in the construction area will also still be able to access their properties. The closure will only affect people wishing to travel the full length of the highway.
The full construction period is expected to last until the end of November, according to a release by CDOT. Drivers can expect delays and single-lane traffic as crews work on the project.
