A well-known rock formation at Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah has lost its distinctive look.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the top 15 feet of the Sentinel, a tall, narrow hoodoo located on the park’s Navajo Loop Trail, fell off some time in recent days. Park officials said the occurrence was likely due to the effects of freezing and noted that other signature formations in the park change over time as well.
