Colorado’s leaders are making a push to lure the Outdoor Retailer show to Denver.

The expo’s organizers recently announced it will be leaving Utah, its home for two decades. The Denver Post reports that Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper and senators Michael Bennet and Cory Gardner sent a letter Monday to the show’s owners. Attendees at Utah’s twice-yearly expos reportedly were spending $45 million annually. However, the outdoor industry took issue with Utah’s support for rescinding Bears Ears National Monument and for transferring federal public lands to states.
