About 225 people gathered in Cortez on Saturday for a rally and march in conjunction with the nationwide People’s Climate March.
Following speeches, they paraded from City Park to City Market and back carrying signs with messages about protecting the environment. Their march drew a mixed response, with some drivers honking in support, others shouting comments such as, “Yeah, Trump!” or, “Stop burning wood then!”
