Two renowned mountain climbers from Norwood, Colorado, may be memorialized by having two unnamed 13,000-foot mountains near their hometown named after them.
Colorado Senators Michael Bennett and Cory Gardner and Congressman Scott Tipton have introduced legislation that would so honor Charlie Fowler and Chris Boskoff, who perished in a 2006 avalanche while climbing a remote mountain on the China/Tibet border. In a statement, Bennet said, "Throughout their careers, they were always giving back – mentoring students, advocating for human rights, and introducing people to their love of climbing.”
