The Dolores Public Library is kicking off its “Winter Tales” lecture series on Thursday, January 11th at 6pm with a talk by Dolores explorer and retired veterinarian Carolyn Gunn. She will talk about her time spent working at a base camp for a mountaineering expedition in northern Pakistan in 1987.  KSJD's Austin Cope spoke with her to learn more about her experience. Austin Cope is a former Morning Edition host for KSJD and now produces work on a freelance basis for the station. He grew up in Cortez and hosted a show on KSJD when he was 10 years old.
