How Stricter Enforcement of Federal Marijuana Laws Could Affect the Local Economy
In early January, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a plan to change guidelines on enforcement of federal marijuana laws. Under the rule change, federal attorneys will have more latitude to enforce existing laws against distribution or possession of marijuana.
But the question of how to enforce them may become more complex, especially at the local level. And local businesses are continuing with marijuana sales as usual.
