Besides Hosting the Dolores River Festival, What Does Greater Dolores Action Do?

The Dolores River Festival happens each June in Joe Rowell Park in Dolores, and brings live music, booths, and children’s activities to the town. Though you may have attended the festival, you may not know about the non-profit organization behind it. It’s called Greater Dolores Action, and, according to its mission, putting on the festival isn’t the only thing it is supposed to do. To learn more about Greater Dolores Action, KSJD's Austin Cope spoke to John Chmelir, the chair of its board of directors. Click below to listen.
