Attorney General Candidate Phil Weiser on Mediation with Trump Administration, “New California”
Colorado is one of the most purple states in the country with roughly one million registered voters in each group: Democrats, Republicans and unaffiliated. November’s election will serve as another test in how far left Colorado is willing to go.
Phil Weiser, the Democratic candidate for state attorney general, hopes to defend his party’s platform while still appealing to Colorado’s unaffiliated and right-leaning voters.
“That’s who we are in Colorado,” Weiser said. “I’m so inspired by that Colorado spirit, which is why I think we are really a model for the United States.”
In an interview with KSJD’s Daniel Rayzel, Weiser laid out his plan to mediate with the Trump administration when possible and rejected calls of the state becoming “New California.”
