Originally from Southern California, Lucas spent the last decade living in New York City, which is where he started his journalism career.   • Several Colorado mountain communities are trying to limit the growth of short term rentals--as long-running housing crunches become full on crises. Earlier this summer Steamboat Springs and Crested Butte placed temporary halts on new short term rental licenses. In Telluride, a group of locals are pushing for a ballot question to limit short term rental licenses. But the proposal has aroused passionate feelings for and against. KOTO's Matt Hoisch went to a Telluride community discussion on the proposal and brings us this report.
