McPhee Reservoir boat ramps set to open for season

Ways To Subscribe

Boaters are getting ready to return to McPhee Reservoir, with the main boat ramp set to open April 15th for the season. The San Juan National Forest says the ramp will be open daily, with hours running from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. through late September, depending on weather.

A second access point, the House Creek boat ramp, is scheduled to open May 1st, operating Fridays through Mondays during peak season.

Officials remind boaters that current registration is required, and Aquatic Nuisance Species inspections will be in place to help prevent the spread of invasive mussels. If your boat needs a full inspection, weekdays are the best time to avoid long waits.
